Game Day Food: Pepperoni Pizza

Today we are making one of Americas favorite game day foods pizza. These are the ingredients that I will be using.

Parchment Paper
Flour:
Fresh pizza dough: (You can get this product at a store like Von’s or Trader Joe’s)
Pizza sauce: (the sauce I am using is homemade but you can use what ever sauce you have on hand)
Cheese: (I personally love mozzarella but what ever cheese you have on hand works)

Toppings: (optional)

Boars Head Pepperoni: I love this pepperoni because it is a lot more high-end compared to generic store-bought pepperoni.
Basil: I love using fresh herbs when I make pizza. My number one tip when making pizza with basil is don’t cook the basil. Cut the basil into strips and place on the pizza before it is served.

The first step to making this pizza is to take your parchment paper and place it over the shiv. Then place about five or six spoons of flour onto the parchment paper. Let the pizza dough rest on top of the parchment paper for about 30 minutes. Make sure to set your oven to 425 degrees. An easy way to keep track of how long the dough has been resting is when the over beeps. When the oven has beeped you may begin rolling out the pizza dough.

Now that the oven timer has gone off you may roll out the pizza dough. A tip to make rolling the dough easier is to put flour onto the rolling-pin.

Now you are ready to add the toppings onto the pizza dough. Now if you are going to add your own toppings the rest of these photos and instructions are not going to help you. Put as much sauce and cheese on the pizza as you like. Then put the pepperoni on top of the cheese. The pizza can now be cooked in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese and crust are golden brown.

This is what the pizza looks like once it has been pulled out of the oven and the basil has been placed on top.
