Cinnamon Garlic Fries

What football fan does not like to have garlic fries at a football party? This garlic fries recipe was made with a restaurant grade deep fryer.

Ingredients Required:
– deep fryer
– 6 to 9 potatoes (depending on how many fries you are making)
– 2 to 3 cloves of garlic (depending on how much garlic you like)
– 1 head of parsley
– 2 cups of graded parmesan cheese
– 2 to 3 table spoons of Cinnamon powder

The photo below shows the required ingredients for those of our more visual readers.

Required Ingredients

The first step is to turn on the deep fryer to about 365-375 degrees. Now you have to decide how big or small you would like to cut the fries. If you wish to speed up the process you may use a mandolin but please be careful. I prefer hand cut fries. One you have cut the fries to the size of your liking make sure to put the potatoes into a bowl of ice water. The potatoes can be cut the a few hours before any party. They can also be cut the day before a party as long as you change out the ice water about every three to four hours.

Now you must dry off the potatoes as you do not want the hot oil to splatter up. Take about 3 potatoes worth of fries and place them into the deep fryer. You are going to cook the fries for about five to six minutes. You will then pull the fries and let them cool. Then you will cook the fries for about five to six minutes. (This is what the cooking process looks like LINK). You will continue cooking and cooling the fries about four times or until golden brown. As depicted in the photo below.

Once you have cooled the fries to room temp you may apply the toppings. Take the garlic and peel the skin off. Then proceed to chop or mince the garlic to the desired size. Once again chop or mince the parsley to the desired size. Now throw the garlic, parsley, cinnamon and cheese onto the fries and enjoy!
